Preliminary and definitive project of a residential building in Naples

The building consists of a single block divided into portions slightly misaligned in order to have the best solar orientation, to align to existing buildings, to maintain the right distance from them and to maintain the position within the area.
The apartments are located on seven floors, and they are served by three stairwells and a lift. The stairs, for fire safety and thermal insulation of the rooms reasons are out from the insulation enclosure, however, they are protected against the weather by a translucent glass wall U-type glass.
The apartments are modular and assembled in different configurations as shown below.
The structure is made of concrete septa and pillars and hollow-core concrete slab and staircase as windbracing function. The openings of the south-west facade are screened via sliding wooden grids, dimensioned and positioned in correspondence of the windows of the dwellings with displacement possibility in order to improve the visibility alternatively or shading.
