A careful and focused requalification of the entire waterfront can contribute to destroy all that heavy barriers that have separated so far the town from the sea, but it helps the city to become a polycentric city and to recover that taste of beauty.
Symbol buildings of two areas have to build, at the same time, in harmony with landscape and urban morphology.
It’s for this reason that instead of the spontaneous and obvious verticality typical of the architecture-symbol coastal we chose “horizontal band” as a guideline of the project, interrupted by essential figures, episodes that interrupt the continuity, that are detached from the context without distorting it.
The entire project will represent many form and dimension of life: the daily one, the periodic one and the exceptional one.
